Teddy, a blind and deaf Shih Tzu from Sturgeon, Missouri, was tragically shot by a police officer after escaping his yard and wandering into a neighbor’s property.
The officer, called to help, reportedly believed Teddy’s disoriented behavior indicated illness or rabies and, after unsuccessful attempts to capture him, chose to fatally shoot the dog.
Teddy's owner has since filed a lawsuit, arguing that the officer's actions were excessive and avoidable, as Teddy showed no aggression.
Justice has not been served and teddy deserves justice. This community is here for that reason.
